In the middle of the 19th Century, an Irish scientist by the name of John Tyndall established the correlation between carbon particles in the atmosphere of our planet and increases in global average temperatures. So, if you dispute the phenomenon global warming or hear others doing so, the argument goes against more than a century of hard science, science which was not controversial until multinational conglomerates decided to invest some of their billions of dollars in quarterly profits into disinformation in favor of maintaining the status quo. This fact does not escape the watchful eyes of OSAC, NASA, NOAA and agencies of governments large and small the world over.
Here’s a brief quote from Tyndall:
"Solar heat possesses. . . the power of crossing an atmosphere; but, when the heat is absorbed by the planet, it is so changed in quality that the rays emanating from the planet cannot get with the same freedom back into space. Thus the atmosphere admits of the entrance of the solar heat, but checks its exit; and the result is a tendency to accumulate heat at the surface of the planet."
So, why is global warming occurring? We are causing it to occur with forest fires, smokestack output and tailpipe emissions, among other naughty behavior. If you don’t believe it, you need to get a clue. Assertions against the factual basis of the causes of global warming are scientifically illiterate at best.
John Tyndall was no hack. He was good friends with many of the foremost countrymen of his time, including Lord Tennyson. His work is required reading at OSAC, NASA and other government agencies. Yet, the disinformation and counterpropaganda continue. What are you to do, then? Believe the science. It will not lead you astray. Global warming is real. Humanity is the main cause and if we don’t change our ways, we will write our own planetary epitaph.
